Children’s Church Mission

To lead children in a meaningful worship experience that helps them understand the importance of having Jesus Christ in their lives!  To create an atmosphere where children are ministered to on their level .   

Children’s Church teaches children from birth to eleven years of age the foundation of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and instructs them of the importance of living as a Christian in their day-to-day lives.  Children’s church meets every Sunday at 9:30am & 11:30am (except on 2nd Sundays).

Mount Zion Institute of Christian Education (ICE) is a two-year, non-degree granting institution with high academic standards.

Mission
To educate each student within a nurturing atmosphere so that they will receive both high quality course work and structured discipleship training to empower them to maximize their spiritual growth and impact the world.

History
ICE was created especially to optimize the Religious Education opportunities for the members of Mount Zion Baptist Church and the local community.  The Evangelical Training Association (ETA) of Wheaton, Illinois designs the standard curriculum employed by ICE.  All classroom instructors are ETA approved and certified to teach courses.

Evangelize, Disciple, and Equip the children and youth of the church and the community one week during the summer, by creating an atmosphere where they can learn about Jesus Christ through arts and crafts, bible study, games and other activities.  Vacation Bible School meets the third week of July beginning on Sunday.
